VAT / CST India - Maharashtra Is it possible to correct a error in co. Name?

• Dear All, I recently got my VAT and CST TIN # done, however i noticed that when i check for my TIN # it shows one extra letter in my co. name. can anyone advice me on will it cause a problem? and how can the same be fixed? Thanking all you guys in advance

  Yes the same can be corrected and according to me same should be corrected, Write letter to the Registration Officer who granted you the certificate marking the CC to the concerned DC of the Registration branch.
