Voice chat not working (YM 9)?

Hi, just downloaded Yahoo Messenger 9, and the voice chat isn't working. I did the voice test and it works. Just that whenever I go to the chats, the voice bar doesnt even move/go up or anything, but it does show how many r listening... but no one can hear me. And I know it isnt my mic since its working when I use skype or msn. I have win xp pro, sp3. Help!
