I installed yahoo messenger and i cant see any mesgs that people send. they can see mine but i cant see their

i cant see any meseages that are sent to me through instant messaging. I can see when someone is typing and i get the prompt when they send the note and they can see my messages but i cant see any of their text. i am using the latest version of messenger. can anyone help?

Answer:
That is because you have to invite them into your messenger and they have to accept. Pull up messenger>Press contacts>invite people to join. Fill out the form and wait for people to answer. Do this with all of your contacts. Good Luck!
