Why do I have trouble with my display picture not changing?

Why is my display picture not changing?

  • i've been trying to change my picture on my IM... i tried through the window and i tried through messenger preferences.. does not change. i deleted the pic originally up and it now just shows a white box............. HELP! i have version 7.5
