How do I download a picture so I can use it on my profile?

Mac Messenger display picture?

  • Ok so I use an iMac, the old one that is all white but it is updated to leopard. when i go on my msn my profile is a picture of nick jonas and it will show to me and my friends. but when i try to change it lets say to a picture of me that i took on photo booth, it will come up at the blue messenger person icon and my friends wont see it. i dont want to download anything so please try not to answer with links and stuff thanks! :)

    A display image is a picture you use to represent yourself in instant messages and on the Messenger List. To show a display image: Go to the Messenger menu and select Preferences. Click Display Image. Select the Image box, and click Browse to find a picture on your computer to use. When you find the picture you want, click Open. Close the window. Be sure to quit and restart Yahoo! Messenger for Mac for the setting to take effect. To see other people's display images: Go to the Messenger menu and select Preferences. Click Display Image. Select Enable display images everywhere to see pictures and avatars from your contacts. i'm not quite sure about the difference of Mac Messenger and Windows Messenger. but i have read a lot of same problems involving the diplay of picture/photo on the messenger. try to browse on the button about display image for mac users. for windows, it is just on the messenger box "My Display Image"...

for iChat, right? try clicking on the icon. then press "edit photo" it should then update and next time you sign out and back on it will update for them :]
