Why isn't the text displayed in my Yahoo IM chat window?

Not getting text in my instant messanger ?On yahoo messanger version 8?

  • ok was using yahoo messanger version 6 . it works properly on my PC Pentium 4 os windows 2000 NT server version 5.0 .one day my friend advice me that my yahoo messanger version 6 is not able to send me files to it's messanger so you should get newer version and i got it . no installion problem get but. when i go to yahoo chat room (any where) message box appears that "problem to communicate with voice service reconnecting" after that i disable the voice chat the message don't appers but when i send instant message to my friend he got my text message , he also reply by text but i don't get his text messages, i only get blank window, i can see at the left bottom of IM window that my friend is typing message but then also i don't get it. i search for the problem and find that internet explore setting and set my costom setting of scriptting all are enable and restart my yahoo messanger , after that i don't get any text message in my IM windows same problem. Kindly help me out of this soon.

    there has been a number of users asking the same question here yesterday and overnight. it has to be a yahoo glitch for so many to have the same problem. all i can suggest is that you either wait and keep trying or download an older version to see if that helps. below is a link to download older versions of yahoo messenger. good luck. http://www.oldversion.com/program.php?n=yahoo

i dont have tym to read all the extra information u provided .. u can do nothing better then redownloading it and installing it properly .. from the yahoo site and not from anyother site or setup file ... ! ..setup files provided by other sites may have bugs .. b4 installing new yahoo ... uninstall ur old yahoo messg. and restart it ..

completely unistall the messenger...restart compuetr and again reinstalll....bye bye
