How do I uninstall Yahoo messenger when it doesn't let me uninstall it?

Can i uninstall then reinstall yahoo messenger, and not lose my contact list in messenger?

  • im in the phillipines, i can sign in to yahoo mail with dsl, but can sign in to yahoo messenger, but when i use smartbro wirlee it signs me in to yahooo messenger, so if i uninstall messenger then reinstall, would i lose my contact list in messenger

    You can uninstall yahoo messenger from your computer and still have your contacts YES it will not erase your contacts, just the program from your computer.

You will not loose your contacts...and when you re-install they will be back on as contacts..i recently got rid of 9.0 and re-installed 8,0 version and all my contacts were still there...
