Why isn't my Skype and Yahoo messenger connected to the Internet?

How do I stop my yahoo messenger from being signed on even when im not connected to the internet?

  • I tried deleting and re-installing yahoo messenger but it didn't do any good, i still have the same problem it is appearing logged on other peoples computers even when im not even connected to the internet. HELP!LOL

  • Answer:

If you're connected to the Internet through a line, then pull the line from your computer. Then you know for sure that you're computer is not passing information over the net. Other than that though I would need more information about your situation to answer your question. If you're using XP, you can right click your connection and select disable. If you still are logged on on other people's computers, then I would have to ask if you have been signing in from those other computers as well. Go to each computer, log yourself out, delete the cookies on those machines, then go home and change your account password.

Other answers

first of all when you install messenger theres a little box that says "sign you in automaticaly when you sign into a link" and you just click yes to get rid of the box without ever having read the meaning of what that sign is really saying, all of these toolbars are like pushy salesmen in the sense that they all want to be first if the problem persists then click run then type msconfig then click startup (which is the last tab) and unclick evrything with yahoo or Ypager click apply then restart then surfs up enjoy the net.
