  • Answer:

When you send or receive an instant message and no message appears, you probably have scripting disabled in your Internet Explorer. To enable scripting: 1. Click the "Tools" menu on your Internet Explorer toolbar and select "Internet Options." 2. Click the "Security" tab. 3. Click the Internet (globe) icon and click the "Custom Level" button. 4. Scroll down to "Scripting." 5. Enable the following: * Active scripting * Allow paste operations via script * Scripting of Java applets are all enabled 6. Click the "OK" button at the bottom of the window. Note: Restart Yahoo! Messenger and you should start seeing text in your IM windows again.

Dear friend, chances are that your messenger has been affected with a virus. I believe its called a messenger demon, or something like that. I had the same problem. I'm not sure which Anti Virus will take it out. i tried most of them but didn't work. Finally i formatted my OS and reinstalled everything. The problem with these viruses is that they get integrated into some command shell, so once infected with it its hard to recognise it. What anti virus do u use?? I suggest u format the drive u installed the OS in and start from square one. You may notice that none of ur flash interfaces show the contents properly. fot instance try installing Macfee, you'll c wat i'm talking about. chao

This is a server problem, Yahoo glitch. It happens off and on and it is NOT your PC, bear with it, but report it to Yahoo Customer Care.

Here's the "'BEST ANSWER" 1. Check down on your task bar by your clock to the bottom right of your screen. You should have an emoticon/smiley face there. 2. Right click on that. 3. Click on Exit. This will take you FULLY out of Messenger. 4. Click on your Yahoo Messenger icon (either in your start-up menu or desktop) 5. Sign back in. OR Uninstall then reinstall and see if that helps Uninstall: goto start -> control panel -> add/remove programs -> find YMessenger at bottom of list -> click on it then remove. Install: http://messenger.yahoo.com/download.php MJ
