Can you block people from seeing your posts on tumblr?

I know you can go to tumblr.com/block but does that block the person from seeing your posts on tumblr? Or does it make it so you cant see their reblogs on likes on your dashboard? There is someone that i dont want following me or seeing my tumblr at all, so is there any way i can make this possible?

Yes, you can make your blog password protected, so only the people you give the password can see it. Or you can make your posts private so only you can see it. There's a tutorial below.
