How do i stop receiving emails from 'freecycle', which is a yahoo group?
-
i sign'ed up to a group called 'freecycle', but I get about 20 emails a day. i've looked for a way to unsubscribe but can't find one and it's no good junking emails because they all come from personal accounts and so are different each time. What can i do to stop receiving the emails?

Answer:
Somewhere within one of the emails you are getting should be a link to the group. You can go to the group page and change how, or if, you get these emails. If you still want to join, but don't want all the emails just sign up for digest emails or opt out altogether. Good luck

I think you have to go to the freecycle website and unsubscribe there. I joined them once and got over 200 msgs in less than an hour. had to delete it that was way to much mail

If you still want to be a member, just not recieve all the emails, just go to the main page of that group. (You can get there from your main "my groups" page.) Click on the Freecycle group. At the top of the page in blue letters is "Edit Membership." Click that. Scroll down to #2. This gives you the option to change Message Delivery. You probably have "idividual emails" chosen. You can change this to "daily digest", one email a day with all the posts that day or "web only." The latter is what you want if you prefer to read the posts from the group site. This way you can still enjoy being a member without the unwanted emails!

I also receive mailing from them as I registered giving away some furniture I had. BUT go back into the site (HOME PAGE) you CAN unsubscribe.

If you log on to freecycle you can change your preference re: receiving mail. You can receive one a day with all the mails enclosed, you can receive them everytime they are posted, you can receive only important messages from the moderator or you can unsubscribe - the choice is yours!
