Is South West London posh? or rough?

Anywhere that does GCSE Science in south west london or london in general?

• Im 21 and need to re do my GCSE science, ive been looking at a number of colleges in south west london but also in london in general and im really surprised to find that there arent any that do this course, seeing as it is a core subject at school. Does anyone know a local college that offers this course or have any advice on what to do? Many Thanks

  GCSEs and A levels for that matter, are generally only taught in schools now so are only available to those under 18. FE colleges now deliver courses that are vocational (work-related) or designed to enable later study at University (Access courses). A lot of people of your age are surprised and frustrated to find that they can no longer go back to college and take a GCSE or A Level. However the current system should still enable you to study towards your desired goal. So for example if you feel you need GCSE Science because you want to study nursing or medicine a local college should be able to offer you an appropriate NVQ or Access course that will take you towards your chosen career without needing to retake a GCSE. All colleges employ Careers Advisers and you don't need to have enrolled with a college to access their services. You should be able to make an appointment with an adviser and receive free, impartial, one to one guidance on what is available and your options for study. If I were you I would call my local college and get an appointment as soon as possible, by the end of August colleges wil be entering their busiest time of the year as they enrol new students.
