Why does my CD Player and Amp turn off when my system starts gettin loud?
-
Everything is hooked up perfectly and I replaced the cd player already. I've also looked for a shorted wire behind the dash, but nothing...

Answer:
If you have a powerful amplifier or a small electrical system/weak alternator or battery it's possible your car's voltage is dropping low enough that either the HU or the amp doesn't like it and is going into over-current or low voltage protection. If none of those things apply there may be a general problem with the installation causing a voltage drop. Anything from wiring being too small to having a bad ground or power connection can lead to voltage drop.
