How can i get rid of the static noise in my cd player?

CD player problems?

• Tried putting in a CD this morning on the way to work. Got a message ERR and the CD ejected. I turned on the radio instead thinking the CD was scratched. During the radio playing I still get an ERR on the display (while the radio is playing). I can still hear the grinding noise that the player makes while either accepting the CD or ejecting a CD. There is no CD in there now. I tried turning the power off to the radio and still the grinding noise over and over. I turned the switch off the car and still grinding noise over and over. I tried putting a CD into it while the car is off and keys removed to see if the noise quits. The CD player accepts the CD and seconds later ejects it. It does this over and over. Do you guys have any clue what to do? Thanks.

  well...it's a long shot, but try cleaning it with some compressed air, you can get some from radio shack or any electronics store. if that doesn't work and if it's still under warranty, get it replaced. if not, you'll have to buy a new one, cause that one isn't gonna work anymore.
