Will this amp work?

Will this multi amp / LOC setup work?

  • hi, i need to amp my rear speakers, and im also considering buying a sub off craigslist (that comes with an amp). i just wanted to ask someone who knew what they were doing what would be better. im using my stock headunit, so i bought a LOC to be able to use the amp. the amp has 4 channels, and the LOC would be wired to the back speakers, however it is a 4 channel LOC.... could i wire the LOC's left front AND left rear to the single rear left channel? in effect splitting the rear left into 2 channels? then just using the front channels on the amp for the rear speakers, and one the rear channels for the sub? or would it be better just to wire the 2 rear channels to the rear channels in the car, only connect the rear channels to the amp (and use that for the back speakers) and then connect the amp that the sub comes with to the preamp output on the 1st amp? (daisy chaining 2 amps together, one for the back speakers, the other bridged for the sub)

  • Answer:

either way is fine technically ... except you arent using 2 channels of the 4 channel amp in the second scenario. But you may have more power with the 2nd amp... either setup will work... so just decide on power and/or simplicity of wiring only 1 amp up.
