Are My Speakers blown?

Are my speakers blown? Cracked?

  • I was testing my new deck and I did not notice it was a "High Power Deck" (pioneer deh-1500). I had the level at about 25-27 when the speakers started making a cracking distroting noise then my fuse in my deck blew. After replacing the fuse the back speakers ( Sony Xplod 6.5" 220 Watt 4-Way Speakers) would only play at a very low volume. Meanwhile my two front speakers (Kenwood 5-1/4" 2-Way Car Speakers) play but I can hear a slight crackle. All four of my speakers are below the 50W min for the deck... So Im wondering if I blew all four of my speakers. Help?

  • Answer:

your speakers are blown when all you hear is bass. which would mean you blew your tweater. or it just cant handle the watts. dont buy xplod plz dont ever buy then again. alpine has been the best for me. my car is all alpine. do it trust me
