Are My Speakers blown?

My speakers arnt working, they are not blown out and they are are factory speakers.?

• okay.. my speakers in my saturn l100. i bought this car with them "blown out" and i took the door panels off to look at the speakers and they are not blown. i turn the radio all the way up and the 4 main speakers still do not work at all. not even crackling. but what does work are the seprate little 1 inch tweeters. i just want to know if i should buy new speakers and replace them to see if it was the old speakers or if there is another problem worng with them. please write back soon<3

  I would guess that there is something wrong with the electronics going to the speakers, not the speakers, themselves. This is because all 4 failed at the same time. It is possible that the wiring to the speakers is faulty. Usually, the last transistor (which is a fairly large power transistor), which goes to the speakers, is the problem. So, it would be easy to spot. Before you go to any trouble, try swapping in different speakers, or testing your speakers on another sound system. Also try swapping out the speaker wire. It is always better to try the easiest and cheapest solutions first.
