Cheap 800 RMS 4-ohm amp?

I have TWO 12 " kicker CVR subs, 400 watts RMS 800 peak each at 4ohm. do i need a 800 RMS amp or 400 RMS @4ohm

  • Answer:

i've got the same speakers and ive got a 850 watt mono block amp and it does really good so i would go with the 800 watt amp or you could go with the 400 watt and bridge it and get the same result but either one would work.

800 RMS AT 2 OHMS AND YOULL BE FINE BUT I BET IT WOULD BE CHEAPER IF YOU GOT 2 AMPS WITH 400 RMS AT 4 OHMS

You can connect both woofers at parallel to become 2 ohms, and 400 RMS @ 4 ohms amp is good as you i presume it should be close to 800RMS running at 2 ohms.
