What do these Amp settings Mean?

What should my settings be on my Hifonics Brutus BRZ2100.1D with my 2 12 Kicker L7s?

• Help me out. I've blown 2 12 Kicker L7s already and don't really want to do it again. I may have had my gain up too high. I just now started researching what a lot of the settings truly mean. What should I set all my settings to on my Hifonics Brutus amp for these subs? It's 2100 RMS and I'm wanting to run the 2100 @ 1 ohm. Is this a good idea considering the subs peak out at 1500? Does 2100 RMS mean it's pushing 1050 to each sub? If so then it should be okay and won't peak out right? Also, I don't really know how to wire it to be 1 ohm.   Rule #1 - IGNORE peak/max ratings. They are completely meaningless. Their only purpose is to sound impressive to uninformed consumers. You have a pair of 750w rms subs for a total of 1500w rms. With that much power you need to be very careful with those subs. They're not known for handling much more than what they're rated for. Your primary settings as far as keeping the subs safe are the gain and bass boost. Gain is set in relation to the signal strength coming from your head unit. Most cheaper HU's are 2-2.5v 12 o'clock on the dial would be around 4v. I'd be hesitant to go much higher than that considering the power situation you're working with. Bass boost -- definitely leave that at zero. Subsonic -- I'd set it at around 20 if the box is sealed. 30-35 if it's ported. Low pass usually works best around 80hz but can vary from 60-100 or so. It's a personal preference thing.
