What would be the best amp for this?

What is the best way to wire my 2 subs to an amp?

  • I have 2 10" subs at 300rms that are dvc and 4 ohms. So I should get a 600w rms amp, right? now, what is the best way to wire the subs, or are they all the same, just mixing it up? what does bridging do? should i get a mono amp, 2 ch amp, or 4 ch amp and bridge them?

  • Answer:

Yes, a 600 watt RMS amp would be great. You can go a little over or under and still be OK. Probably the least expensive solution would be a monoblock amp that outputs from about 500-750 watts RMS into 4 ohms. Wire the sub voice coils in series and the subs in parallel for a final impedance of 4 ohms like in the diagram here: http://a248.e.akamai.net/pix.crutchfield.com/ca/learningcenter/car/subwoofer_wiring/2DVC_4-ohm_mono.jpg
