How do I delete all **UNREAD** emails at once?

  • I have more than 40,000 unread messages but far fewer read messages. I want to keep the read messages. How do I delete the unread messages while retaining the read messages?

    Just under the word INBOX, there are a set of links to View All, Unread or Flagged. Click Unread. Then at the bottom, just above the Delete button, is a link that says Check All. Click that will tick the checkboxes on all the mail on that page, which is the unread ones. Then click Delete. You need to do this for each page of them, separately. To speed things up, first go to Options (top right) then General, and choose from a drop-down box to display 200 emails to a page. When you've finished them you can set this back to about 25 per page, which is a good size for actually seeing them.

check off the read ones and move them to a seperate folder. then, check all of them by clicking the check mark box above the first message. then, you move the read messages back into your inbox and delete that folder (or leave the folder), or just leace them in that folder

either manually select them all or else press "Ctrl A" on a PC which will highlight and select every email and then hit the delete key...if you have a mac then do it the mac way which is...i donno. but you get the point.

there should be a little book on the tool bar that says erase and delete ect. and there will be a" i " in a dark book with a check box an it clicks all. OR click the first message an hold SHIFT And click the last one :]

Click in the little check box for all the unread messages, and then click on delete. To keep the read messages, just don't click on the check box. :)

click "check all" and then go in and unclick the ones you want to keep. Once you did that, hit "delete"
