Can I discover where or who sent me an offensive email?

Ghost emails sent from Yahoo account?

  • Three separate times, in a few months, I discover emails are sent through my Yahoo email account that I did not send. I see a failure notice in my inbox and see some attempt to send a message to contacts in my email contacts list. Is there a way to stop/block this activity?.

  • Answer:

    Your account got compromised. First change your password. Account help.http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/acct/in%E2%80%A6 for just about anything to do with your account. Then run anti Virus and Anti Spyware. Should be fine then.

When you receive a Mailor Daemon failure notice it's caused by a spammer to hide their address, it's called "spoofing" They are looking for a good working address. Just delete them. Never mark them as Spam, because you will be spamming your own address. It will stop soon. It has been happening to many of us.
