How can I set preferences & change format within my email section?

  It depends on which version you are currently using. If it's the new Yahoo Mail (Beta version). Click "Options">>mail or more options>>and on the "general" options page---(under Message settings)----check "show all messages in a scrolling list" (with Preview Pane option). Click Save changes in the upper left corner. That will put all your emails in ONE long list (instead of page by page). IF you're using Classic: You can increase (or decrease) the number of emails PER page. Options>>mail options>>and scroll down to and change the number in the little box to whatever you want. Then "save changes" top of the page.
