How do I add a contact category?

Up until a couple weeks ago I am unable to send email to a category or add a contact to a category?

• When I attempt to add a contact to an existing category I get the message "The operation failed (ERROR_NO_LABEL-40403). If I am composing an email, none of my existing categories show as selectable options. This began to happen about 2 weeks ago. I normally use Google Chrome as my browser but I get the same results in IE and Firefox.
