How to automatically export contacts from Thunderbird?

Trouble exporting contacts?

• I am trying to export contacts from Yahoo mail to Thunderbird. I click contacts>tools>export>Thunderbird. I am then prompted for a Captcha code which I enter. Instead of a file being downloaded though, it goes through to a "Sorry, the page you requested was not found." I use the Yahoo Mail Plus (with the annual subscription)

  I have heard of many people using Yahoo Mail Plus having issues with this- try the steps I included below but if its not working I would just switch over to Yahoo Mail Classic to do the exporting. Its really easy from Yahoo Classic and you can switch right back to Yahoo Plus when its complete. In Yahoo! Mail: Select Options | Mail Options from the Yahoo! Mail menu. Go to the Contact Options category. In Yahoo! Mail Classic: Go to Options. Go to the Address Book category. Next step for Yahoo Mail or Mail Classic: Select Import/Export under Management. Choose 'Netscape/Thunderbird' under Export and click Export Now. **If this is not working I would just export your contacts in a Yahoo! .CSV file which is an alternative option to exporting to Netscape/Thunderbird. Then just log in to Thunderbird and import the Yahoo Contacts file from your computer's downloads folder and everything should format itself accordingly. I was having issues exporting to my Address Book and ended up doing it this way and it worked perfectly. Hope this helps!
