Why do I get double e-mails?

If an address is in my address book, then why when i send emails get sent back undelivered it says user unknow

  • i e-mail my cousin and he emails me. his address is in my address book and mine is is his-then why do I get his emails and he doesn't get mine? He has AOL AND Yahoo but neither address reaches me from him? Why??

  • Answer:

    Next time he emails you try pressing "Reply" instead of "compose new" that way you are replying to the correct address and they should get to him. The address you have may be out by one letter or may even have one dot in the wrong place,if its not exactly right it won't work

There may be one slight difference in the email addresses (i.e. an underscore _ etc...). Recommend comparing them closely.

You might have a system blockage or a firewall that is preventing you from sending and receiving messages. If you know someone who is good with computers maybe they can do it for you. Sometimes when I receive this message, it usually means that there is a discrepancy in my email address i.e. such as a certain word or letter that could be wrong, or capitalization might be on when it is not required, or vice versa. If you know of no one who can fix this problem for you, then try visiting your local Circuit City and having a Computer Repair engineer come your place to fix it.
