How do I resize photo's from the 'my pictures' folder on my computer before emailing them?

Hi, The way I do it is... 1) Open the picture up from your documents as if you were just looking at it 2) Shrink the size of the window by clicking the corner of the screen and dragging it towards the middle so that the window the picture is on shrinks and therefore shrinks the picture proportionately. 3) Get it to the size you want and do a screen grab. To do this press "shift" and "print screen" together. 4) Open up paint or a similar program and paste ("ctrl" + "v") the image into the paint programme 5) Next use the "cut" tool to draw a box around the original photo, copy this box ("ctrl" + "c") and paste it into a new paint document 6) Now you can save this new, smaller image as a .jpeg and it will be a lot smaller than the original!! Geez that was long winded! It sounds complicated but its simple when you know how! Or if you are lucky enough to have Photoshop then you can just go into "edit image size" and just change the dimensions!!! Oh and always save it as a copy ( eg save "photo" as "photo1") so you dont lose the original version as the original will be of a higher quality for printing etc Good Luck!

Try downloasing the google picasa, i think its still free and you get google earth and some other things free with it. On picasa you can do all sorts of things with your pictures. Just type google picasa into google and it should come up with the download.
