Why the attachments of my yahoo mail cannot be opened?

I want to send an e-mail that will initiate the opening of photos when the mail is opened?

• A friend used aol to attach photo addresses/links (I think the photo images themselves were not attached because the size of the mail was very small and I couldn't open the attachments) in an e-mail. I opened the mail and once I authorized the display of the photos (clicking at the top of my screen), the photos (slowly) started to appear. How do I create such a mail in Yahoo? I read suggestions, one being that the photo must come from a website, but pasting a Flickr photo in my mail yielded nothing when I sent the mail to myself and opened. When I pasted Flickr-photo addresses in the e-mail, the links appeared when I opened the mail, but photos did not open. I would like to spare the recipient of my mail the effort of downloading and then opening (separately for each attachment) the two or three photo files I might attach to my mail. I have a MacBook, OSX 10.5.8, and use Yahoo mail. Thank you.

  Yahoo ...as far as I know...has two options... 1. You attach the photo to the email by clicking on ATTACH FILES.... 2. You can place the photos IN the text area. There are other ways, but the only way I have done this is to send photos from KODAK EASY SHARE where my photos are stored from my Kodak camera. What you are asking is not yet available through yahoo... Just in case I missed something you can inquire of yahoo..
