  • i recieved an email today from [email protected] telling me i need to verify my account. its prob a scam but its headed with windows live etc. ive had this account for 8 years now. It says: Dear Account User, You are advise to verify and comfim your acount details below to enable us upgrade your account.E.G Your Hotmail id, Password, Date Of Birth etc. Anyone who fails to do his or her own will Automatically loses his or her own Account. Thanks for using Hotmail Account Alert VERIFY YOUR HOTMAIL ACCOUNT NOW !!! Confirm Your Account Details Hotmail ID:......................... Password:........................ Your Birthday:................. Your Country or Territory:........... Warning!!! Account owner that refuses to update his or her account before two weeks of receiving this warning will lose his or her account permanently. Sincerely, The Windows

    Scam scam scam. Hotmail would never ask for your password or anything that would give it away ie your birthday. Plus they signed it 'The Windows' and I'm pretty sure they don't call themselves that. Aaaand you verified your account when you signed up if you put an alternative e-mail, if not then they still wouldn't send you an e-mail asking you to verify the account they sent it to.

i have had that on hotmail and something similar on yahoo.i opened the yahoo one and since then my password has been corrupted,it is a worry
