Why have my emails from Yahoo Mail disappeared after I started using Outlook?

  • I want to send a special document email on Outlook and after I began using it, all my past emails disappeared from Yahoo, but they appear on Outlook. Now, when a new email comes to me on Yahoo, it stays for about 10 minutes, then disappears! What's going on???

  • Answer:

    Outlook delete email from server after the email is download to you desktop. You can change the setting so that a copy stay on the server as backup. It is always a good idea to have back up I have lot of incoming and outgoing email everyday and i never delete my email. One day my email stop working. It was a .pst error. Took me 2 days to figure it out. If i have backup copy on my server i won't lose two day of my time!

When you use an email client such as Outlook it downloads the email and deletes it from the server. It assumes you want to save it on your computer. There is an account option in Outlook to leave mail on the server. ℬ ℋ
