Do I need visa to go on holiday to Algeria?

How much I need do I need and whats the best way to get a working holiday Visa to go to Australia? Please help?

  • I've heard that you need 5,000 AUD as one of the requirements to get in but I heard that they don't always need the full amount. I want to stay out there for a full year and struggling to get that amount. Would it be foolish to try to live out there without that amount for a year? I've got a place to stay and be with my girlfriend (she can't wait much longer for me to come over it's getting hard since we miss each other alot more recently). 3 months don't seem to be enough so it's even a year or I wont be able to try to go over and she try to come over to me. I was thinking I could lend money off people and put them in my bank to say that I've got that amount. Could I do that? and what's the best thing to do to start off my Visa and try to get it sorted. Should I see a travel agent or go to one of these internet site's that say they'll help? I'm not sure what to do so any advice would be helpful. At the moment I might be able to get 2k pounds and some of that be buying the ticket's. I can't find another job where I am to save up fast enough and at the moment I'm thinking of getting a loan.. but if I do that it be alot harder to save up again and pay that off. I've got no trade skill's, I'm in a low income job (cleaner and not many hours), I might be able to get a loan although not so sure because of my hour's and my girlfriend live's in Perth. Please help, thank you.

I recently returned from Australia on the working holiday visa, so I'll try to help. As far as the $AUD 5,000 goes, I didn't quite have enough either. I printed out a copy of my bank statement, as well as invoices from someone who was supposed to pay me that month and a statement from my retirement account. If you added all these things together, it was over $5,000. The thing is, no one ever asked to see any of it, nor did they ask to see the bank statements of any of my friends I met on my journey. My guess is they only ask to see it if something looks suspicious. But I don't think you need to worry, and here's why: Australia is concerned about people coming over, running out of money and being homeless or getting stuck in the country because they can't afford a plane ticket back home. Just make sure you have purchased your return ticket (you can always change the dates later) and bring a copy of your itinerary on your flight so you can show them you have a flight back. If they question you about money, you can let them know that you'll be staying with your girlfriend. I used to watch this show called "Border Security" all of the time when I lived in Australia and a red flag always went up when people came over with no money, no friends/family and no place to stay. So you should be fine in that regard. If you're really concerned about it, you could try borrowing money from your family or friends to temporarily inflate your bank statement. I met a few people who borrowed money from their parents and transferred it back once they made it to Oz. It turns out the whole exercise was unnecessary though. You should have no problem finding a job in Perth. Work is more plentiful on the west coast because you won't have to compete with as many backpackers as you would on the east coast. Keep your options open. You can do hospitality work, construction, etc. And the minimum wage in Australia is probably a lot better than what you're used to. They actually give their workers a decent wage over there. I found http://www.seek.com.au/ to be one of the best job sites, but also check out the local paper. As far as your visa, save your money and apply for it yourself. It's so easy to do online, and I even got approved the next day. The application is really straightforward. I think that using a migration agent for the Australian working holiday visa is a waste of money unless you are not fluent in English, which you obviously aren't. Apply online at http://www.immi.gov.au/visitors/working-holiday/417/apply-online.htm So stay positive and have a great time!

"Young persons working holiday" visas are available to those aged 18-30. If you fit into that catagory, then follow this link to the very informative government site. If you don't fit, then forget it. http://www.immi.gov.au
