If you stay in Surfers or main beach then you are close to Sea World The other theme parks are up off The Brisbane Motorway and buses run each half hour they take about 3 quarters of an hour to dream World movie World and Wet n Wild. There is no hotels near them. january is not a cheap time. There is usually specials and you can look at wotif.com closer to the time or shop around now. you may get an early bird special Treasure Island Tourist parks have cabins and they are halfway between Surfers and the theme parks they are across the road from Harbour town shopping centre. Also Nara resort at Sea World often have deals where sea World tickets are included . There is a huge amount of Accomodation on the Gold Coast

Phaze is right. However, there are coaches and public transport from say Surfers Paradise to the theme parks.
