Why do some songs NOT have album pictures?

When I put the songs on my ipod they dont ahve album names and a picutre of a music note in grey when its playing on my ipod touch. But my itunes SONG (1 song) has a picture when its playing. Can someone please help.?

So one day I decided I wanted photos for as many songs as possible. So i spend several hours on different occassions googling album covers and manually adding them to my ipod (using "add artwork") they all worked out and everything was good...

Okay, this may sound a little confusing... For one album, I have 10 songs, each with a different picture under album art. But of course only one of these pictures will appear under the album in my itunes when i'm just browsing my albums. Right now itunes...

So I dowloaded an app to download music for free and from there it goes straight into the Listen app which I use to listen to the music .. But recently I downloaded a song by Adele and the album pictures from my other songs all changed into her album...

so i get my songs from lime wire and i put pictures in the place on itunes where it says drag album art here and so i put it there the pics that i got from the internet and it didnt show up on my ipod so i really would like to see if someone could help...
