That's the message that keeps coming up when i try to talk to someone over msn. And it's really annoying. Does anyone know how to fix it?

I sent a msg to a contact on Windows live Messenger. How do i fix it so that that person only gets it. What needs to be done. And did they get my Msg. Hope it wasnt that confusion to get a straight answer.
