Netflix question about ps3?

I am having trouble finding an answer to this question. I signed up for netflix on our ps3 for the streaming movies. I tried to sign in on my computer so i can watch it in a different room and it lets me log in and says that i haven't activated the account...

So my parents have a ps3 in their room so.... I told them about 30 day free trial. 30 days pass... They like it so keep it.I recently got ps3 in my room. So.... To get moneys worth could i add my ps3 to their account? And if so will there be extra charge...

Im thinking about using Netflix thru my PS3. Does it cost money for every Dvd you rent, or do you just pay the 8.95 a month and get unlimted Dvd's? Thanks for your help
