How do you keep parts colored in photofiltre?

Just an oddball thought... My husband just got into an accident, and body parts for cars are SO expensive. Do they keep spares in stock, or do they make them when they're needed? That might account for why you need to wait so long for parts sometimes...

I'm just a little confused with what is the right decision, I could either sell my GTI now (it has 49,000 miles on it) and get a brand new 2010 MkVI, or I could keep my MkV and I would plan to buy an APR Chp, Cold Air Intake, Exhaust, Sideskirts etc...
