How do i email from craigslist?

Anytime I click on an email link I want to have yahoo email to come up not Microsoft Outlook. I can't seem to find where to change this. I have already tried internet connections and I do not get Yahoo for email as a chose.

Because i nevered have an email address before and also was never taught how to email use an email or set up one I need help?

Im just wandering is this a scam and how could it be? I have a esp guitar for sale on craigslist and i got this email from this person. If i were to go through with it and give this person my name and address how could i get scammed? Here is the email...

ex: 0000999999@craigslist I click on this I want it to go directly to my yahoo email, how do I do set this up?
