How can I open my new emoticons on MSN?

I like to use: :D and :] but they are both taken by default emoticons. How could I delete the emoticons to where they don't show up when I type the keyboard shortcut??

I am only able to use a small list of emoticons when I chat with this friend. I am also unable to use the imvironments and audibles with them, how can I enable these issues?
