Best OTC acne treatment?

I can't afford something really expensive. Someone told me that Salicylic acid (2% concentration) could help. Has anyone had success with this? Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated.

I was using benzacline prescribed by my dermatologist. Well out of the blue my insurance just stopped covering it and well it was rather expensive anyways. Anyone know of an otc acne product with similar ingrdient that will work just as well?? appreciate...
