Are Fireworks stands around Houston open?

i heard you cannot pop fireworks anywhere in the houston area, this also included out of the houston limit.. because of the hot dry weather we had.. is it true? i havent heard much fireworks around my neighborhood lately and i do live in out of the houston...

I know bottle rockets/pop rockets are banned in Texas. I live on the outskirts of Houston where fireworks are legal, so dont reply "Fireworks in Houston are illegal." But there has got to be somewhere where they sell bottle rockets!
