What can a teenager do in London? Where to meet people?

Where is a good place for two people from outside London to meet up in London?

  • One person would be arriving at Euston station, the other person would be arriving at King's Cross. Neither person knows London very well, but we don't mind using the tube if we have to. We're looking for a well known and easily identifiable landmark or something, preferably near shops, pubs, etc.

  • Answer:

    If you want to meet up almost immediately and then travel on together, you could meet at the British Library, which is between King's Cross and Euston Stations and on the same side of the road. If it's a nice day, you can sit outside in the courtyard, and the foyer is rarely full. There are not only undergrounds from each station but also a lot of buses to take you anywhere you like from the main road. From those stations you can also take a bus up the road (or a tube to Baker Street) and meet up outside Madame Tussaud's, which you can't miss. There are plenty of shops and pubs, and you can walk or travel down Baker Street to arrive at Oxford Street.

Trafalgar square and Nelson's column is a good idea but very busy. I think a less busy place to meet would be Monument. It's the monument to the Great fire of London and its a huge column with lots of shops and pubs around. Very nice take out sandwich place actually just as you come out of monument tube station. Good luck

Nelson's column is a great idea! Don't worry about using the tube. It's incredibly easy and while I was there, people were always very helpful. When you get off at either station, there should be connections to the tube. There should be maps that tell you which tube line to take to get there. If it's not as obvious as this, ask one of the train workers. They should know or find someone who does. Have fun!

OK... well if you want some where to meet up I suggest you both get on the northern line and meet at Angel. Then if you want to visit other places you can get say... the 38 to Green Park (Just next to Buckingham palace) from Green park you can get the victoria Line to Oxford Circus (bit of shopping) and if you still want more you can get the central line to St Pauls and then walk down Southbank to the london Eye/ Houses of parliament... BUY AN OYSTER CARD... it costs £3 and saves you so much money! See the links below for helpfulness! Jess

Go to Covent Garden that way if it rains or one of you is late you are inside and there are lots of fun things to look at then when you both arrive you have lots of options.

I suggest Brighton's Palace Pier. London is expensive, dirty, dangerous and crowded. Brighton has the atmosphere, restaurants, bars, clubs, cafes, plus the sea and beach and chilled-out people.

There are dozens of places you could meet at...How about The London Bridge, there is a garden café just under the bridge area on the way to the London Tower... Then what better place than the Queen Victoria Memorial in front of Buckingham Palace? Actually, King's Cross/St. Pancras is only 1 tube station from Euston Station.... Why don't you just meet at Euston Stations Meeting Point? and go on from there together...You'd have more time to share, and decide where you want to go from there!!!
