London attractions?

  • ok, i have to make a virtual travel guide to London for my web designing class i was wondering, what are some main attractions in london? and what are some other attractions(not the obvious tourist attractions) that people would like? thnx

    Main tourist attractions: Big Ben & the Houses of Parliament Westminster Abbey The London Eye St. Paul's Cathedral The British Museum Oxford Street/Regent Street shopping The Tower of London London Bridge Buckingham Palace Green Park/Hyde Park/St. James Park Covent Garden Harrods <double decker buses - there's so many> Other "attractions" worth a visit: Brick Lane in east London - best curry restaurants in town and the only (!) place you can get a decent bagel Canary Wharf - relatively new skyscrapers and a fabulous mall St. Pancras terminal - new Eurostar services just opened there in November the "Tube" aka the London Underground - it's the subway system here Portobello Market, Camden Market, Spitalfields Market or Borough Market Hope that helps!

If you are a Sherlock Holmes fan, there's a Sherlock Holmes museum on Baker Street. A beatles fan check out Abbey Road. If you've seen/read the Da Vinci code then Temple Church is always worth a visit. After the Harry Potter books' release, Kings Cross put up a plaque that says "Platform 9 3/4". The main attractions (like Westminster, St. Paul's) are always worth a visit. But to me, the best part about London is finding the less known attractions = )
