Does anyone have suggestions for a 1 day walking tour to see the sights in London, UK?

My boyfriend and I are going to London this weekend for about 4 days. I know that he would like to spend a day at the British Museum, but I would like at least one day to see the other sights like Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, and Westminster Abbey, Parliament all in a day's walk. I'm sure there are some sights in between, but if you any suggestions for streets to take, "different from the norm" sights and good restaurants good restaurants along the way, these would be greatly appreciated. If I can't get them all in 1 then perhaps I can finish the rest the following day.

Hmmm..... Take him to see the London Eye Madam Tussuad's.... a walk in convent garden..... Richmond..... boat tour at Thames river.....well it's not a walk but could be fun if the weather is good....

Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens. Also, check out some of the out of the way bookstores in Charing Cross. The Tower of London is fun.
