What is the best "normal and cheap" thrift shop in London?

Action Figure shop in non-touristy place in London?

• i posted this same question about 10 mintues ago but for some reason it hasn't shown up on the board of questions (atleast not for me) so i appologise if everyone else can see it and not me; but here it is anyway: so about 4 years ago me and my family went to london and someone in our group wanted to stop by a action figure shop he had herd of from a friend to pick up something. all i remember about it was that walking into it was a not too busy of a street, but it had alot of life, but not tourist life, more local life. inside the shop (that i remember) was white walls and immediatly to your left when you walk in were display cases (when i was there it had replicas of harry potter wands. now my question is.. where in london is this shop? not because i want to go back to that store, but because i really liked that part of london, the atmosphere was exactly what i went to london to experiance. thanks in advance.

  Are you thinking of the sci-fi and fantasy store called 'Forbidden Planet'. It's on Shaftesbury Avenue just before you get to the junction with St Giles High Street/High Holborn. When you walk in, the cash tills are on the right, and there is a long glass display case on the left with action figures, models, replica swords, wands, etc. You walk past those towards the back of the shop and, where the cases stop you can turn left into an area where there are figures from Marvel, Star Wars, etc. Does this sound like the place you visited?
