How can go to heathrow underground from heathrow terminal 1?

Need to go from Heathrow Hilton terminal 4 to catch flight at Terminal 3. How to do this?

  • I've never been outside Heathrow, I have only connected to other flights. I'm totally confused by the BAA website as to whether the Heathrow buses or train (Heathrow Connect train, Heathrow Central?) are for shuttling airline passengers between terminals (while remaining within the secure areas) or they operate outside of the secure area. The Hilton at Terminal 4 has a shuttle that could drop me at Terminal 5 or I could walk from the hotel to Terminal 4; now the question remains how I can get to Terminal 3 to check in for my flight?

either take the heathrow connect train from T4 to T3 or there are buses outside T4 which will take you. all are free except the underground.

I haven't been Heathrow much but i'm sure the piccadilly tube line goes to all terminals.
