http://www.tes.co.uk/jobsHub.aspx The Times Educational Supplement is where most teaching jobs are advertised. The school year has just started so most schools will have filled their vacant posts for the coming year. There are a couple of vacant art posts at the moment but that's all. More will appear as the year progresses I expect. Uk weather is not always cold and wet. It can be but it also varies enormously and is very unpredictable. Some recent summers have been very warm, though not this year. London has thousands of hotels . Have a look at tripadvisor.co.uk Pubic ( free state schools ) vary a lot in standard. Many are excellent. In the UK the wording is different . State schools are free and Public schools are what we call the fee paying schools.

YOu would need to learn ENglish. The UKBA website explains the visa requirements.

You cannot really put an amount of money against a four person family in London easily. London is such a diverse City and costs of living vary a lot depending on which part of London you live. For example if you lived in the Centre of London you would need to have a suitcase full of £50 notes just to get started. However if you are living in Greater London, or somewhere like Tottenham (North London) then it would be a lot less. The weather is just as diverse as the City itself. It does not always rain but the weather is totally unpredictable. Sometimes you can have two weeks with no rain at all, then you can have two weeks where it rains every day. The winters, especially in January and February can be very cold. But the Summers can be and I stress the words "CAN BE" very and warm and muggy where it is uncomfortable at night because most homes are not air conditioned. Cheap hotels, once again not in the centre of London, but if you move into the outskirts then you will find them. It would have been a much easier question answer if you had given a specific location in London as it's such a huge City

London is one of the most expensive cities in the world to live, so please think carefully before you consider London

This is rubbish. Learn to write properly, then come back and ask a proper question.

Bashful Buck

firstly London is very expensive so your standard of living is invariably low and you will live somewhere crap and cramped unless you have a lot of money. Flatshares can be OK but they can be a nightmare if you end up living with nobs. Secondly there is a very snobby element of people in London who ignore people who aren't well dressed, attractive and successful like them. You see them posing in the cafes in the west end and walking around the west end with their noses in the air. The class system is very pronounced in London, the posh people can be extremely irritating, and unless you are earning good money you can feel as though you are a second class citizen.

You don't say where you currently live. If you are already in the UK then I would suggest that your parents travel down to London to attend interviews. Teachers are reasonably paid in London but it's not a huge salary. If you are in the EU then you are legally allowed to work in the UK as long as you have a job. If you are outside the EU then I would say to forget it as visas are almost impossible to get.

I liv in tower hamlets in east london which is a place where a lot of violence happens wiv gangs e.t.c. i remember ther was a gang war between our area, brick lane and camden up in north london. everyone kept gettin mugged and all the kids carried weapons. but that is now passing slowly and there is an increase in the amount of police due to the olympics.
