Is a biological science major acceptable as a medical technologist??

I'm a Medical Technologist, can I move to London?

  • Sooo if I'm a certified medical technologist in the USA, I have a bachelor's in biology and a master's degree in clinical lab science and I've been working as a medical technologist for some years and make about 39,000 per year here, would it be possible for me to easily get a work visa and move to London to live? Be specific with answers please :] Thank you!

  • Answer:

With your qualificqtions, maybe. You know about the very restrictive European Union work visa laws...right? See 1st site below. you would need to find an employer to sponsor you. Maye use an international "head-hunter" in your field, or make a scouting trip to look for a job. Get some professional journals from the uk in your field of work and read employment ads, contact some to get an idea of the job market. If you find you cannot get a work visa there...seems to me you should look around in the U.S. $39,000 for someone with a masters sounds rather low...maybe you should try a different city.
