Where to go in London to walk at night?
-
Anyone have any ideas for a romantic walk around London to take in some of the sights? Anywhere worth going that is well lit up or has fantastic night scenery? Thanks!

Answer:
St. James Park is nice at night. Depends how far you want to walk, but from there you can get to Piccadilly Circus then on to Leicester Square, then along Long Acre to Covent Garden which is always full of life at night. It's probably about 2 miles in total but will take a while as there will be lots to stop and look at.

I love the view from the Millenium bridge, and a walk down the southbank by the Thames is always super dooper.

That depends if you want quiet romantic walk or full of life. I took my girlfriend to dinner out in London and we walked around Piccadilly Circus and Oxford Street trying to find a taxi but after a while we gave up looking and just enjoyed the walk. A quiet walk on the other hand I'm not too sure, in Russel Square there are a few small quiet roads with tucked away restaurants.

I have twice visited St James Park at night with friends and family-truly magical and romantic in every sense of the word.I suggest you propose on the bridge!

Just along the embankment is really nice - or else I really like it through Bayswater, personally!

I often drive over tower bridge in the evening. it has a spectacular view at night suggestion....... walk over tower bridge, along the thames, and up to the Millenium Bridge, crossing back. beautiful views, safe-ish area (lots of other people about, but not too crowded in the evenings) and *less* traffic than during the day

I agree with those who suggested the Embankment. Perhaps walk from County Hall up to the South Bank centre, then cross over the new pedestrian walkways on Hungerford Bridge.
