Whats the best way to get to wembley arena from outside london?
-
i've been offered a volunteering place at london 2012 and have some training coming up at wembley arena but i live up north near manchester. i'm just wondering what the best way to get there is by public transport. a bus down is probably cheaper but then i'd have to get from wherever it stops to the arena which i guess could be expensive. does anyone here live in london or has been themselves that can help me. Thanks

Answer:
Some Manchester - London coaches stop at Hendon, Golders Green or Marble Arch, although the fare will be identical to London (Victoria Coach Station). By alighting there you might save time and money on your trip to Wembley. Hendon is the closest of the three options. Use this website to find Tube/train and bus routes for journeys within London.

manchester into london Euston, onto tube to kings cross, 1 stop only, then onto the Bakerloo line to wembley hill, 5 min walk, see link below for map of route. If going by bus to London, you will get off either at Kings cross or Victoria, if kings cross follow route above, if victoria, on to underground, victoria line to kings cross then follow route above or get a london bus outside station, sure you can get at least 4 busses direct to kings cross. have a good trip

Train or bus. So you think a train will take you to your exact destination? Think again. You will need digs not far from the job, you need to go down a few days early. Travel in London is not too expensive.
