Family day out north of London?

Can anyone tell me whether Day Pass (Underground, Rail or both) for family is available to travel in London?

  • Myself, my wife and our son (a 16-year old) will visit London for about 10 days later in the month. I was told that single journey (Underground / Rail) is expensive. Day pass is more economical.

  • Answer:

16 year olds living outside London have to pay the adult fare, so there is no family ticket available for you. You will have to use the regular travelcard or obtain Oyster smartcards. A week travelcard for zones 1-2 is £23.20 and a 3 day travelcard £16.40. These give unlimited travel on underground trains in central London and buses throughout greater London.
